Formed in 2003, Anímic are an example of self-management and a slow but sure and consistent trajectory. The band have released several albums, won prizes and appeared at leading festivals thanks to their personal take on folk and low-fi pop and their finely-crafted songs. By 2007, they were really on the rise, winning acclaimed from the specialist press. Their latest release, recorded at home and produced by Ricky Falkner (Standstill, Love of Lesbian, Sidonie), confirms Anímic as one of the most interesting and experimental bands on the Catalan folk-pop scene.
