Rumba, dub, cumbia and other Latin rhythms. Popular, borrowed and self-penned melodies. La Troba Kung-Fú, one of the biggest world music bands in Europe right now, have received many prizes, such as the Puig Porret for best band in 2007 and the City of Barcelona award that same year. The band has released three albums: Clavell morenet (presented in the United States and the United Kingdom on tour with Ojos de Brujo as well as in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Eastern Europe and Mexico; Rumbia at Ernesto’s, a live CD recorded in the Dutch city of Sittard; and their latest, A la panxa del bou (Chesapik, 2010). La Troba Kung-Fú are currently preparing new songs in their Casa Fournier studio.
