Based on the world map, Creamap locates every cultural event with a specific icon identifying the artistic category to which it belongs. When you hover over the icon the author and title of the event is displayed. So far they have gathered a thousand activities. The tool currently only contains listings verified by the Ramon Llull Institute, but the portal is open to the contributions of all those who wish to participate. Information can mailed to email@example.com but soon a tool will also be activated that will allow programmers, agents, universities, cultural institutions, among others, to register and contribute new events to Creamap.
Depending on the physical proximity of the events and the zoom level of the map, the icons are grouped in a cluster with a number indicating how many events there are. The clusters disappear as the zoom level increases when events that comprise it are sufficiently separated to display individually.
When overlapping events are displayed, those that share a space and time, icons cover up the others. To avoid missing any events an option is activated that allows you to see all the events displayed in a spiral once you click on the icon above, so you can choose the one you want.
Searches on the map can be filtered by country, category and dates, and there is also the possibility of searching for the name of an artist, show or event of your choice. The default home page shows a map with highlighted and upcoming events.
The map includes a list of individual events. This list shows the same results on the map. The display mode of the list can be changed: you can choose the mosaic format or structure it into rows. After doing a search you can choose the way you want to arrange the results (date, creator, category). All lists can be printed from the desktop version of Creamap.
Creamap is an adaptable tool with a graphical design that can be easily accessed from any device: PC, tablets and smartphones.
