Individuals who are 14 years of age or older at the time of taking the tests, of any nationality, residents outside the linguistic domain of the Catalan language and in Alghero, who want to prove their knowledge of Catalan outside of regulated studies, may register.

No prior academic requirements are necessary to take the tests.

The submission of registration applications should preferably be made electronically through the virtual office.

Applicants are responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide in the application.

Documentation accrediting residence outside the linguistic domain of the Catalan language or in Alghero must be attached together with the registration application:

Individuals residing in Spain outside the linguistic domain of the Catalan Language must attach:

• Census certificate, provided that the registration in the municipality took place at least three months prior to the start of the application submission period for the registration tests.
• Any means of proof admitted by law.

b) Individuals residing abroad must attach:

• Passport, provided it indicates the residence address of the person intending to take the exam, or identity document, provided it indicates the residence address of the person intending to take the exam, or any other documentation proving residence.

Interested individuals may formalize the registration request for the exams, by paying the registration fee for the tests or, in those locations where the exams are exempt from payment, by confirming the registration request.

Once the payment or confirmation of the registration application has been made, interested individuals will receive an email with their personal data and exam details. The registration application will be validated once the accreditation of residence outside the linguistic domain of the Catalan language or in Alghero has been verified.

The registration will not be valid if the corresponding payment has not been made, except in cases of locations where no exam fee is charged. It is understood that individuals who do not make the payment within the established term withdraw the application and, therefore, are excluded from this call.

Individuals who have not been able to prove their residence outside the linguistic domain or in Alghero during the amendment period will be definitively excluded from the call and the registration fee for the test will not be refunded.

Once the payment has been made, the Institut Ramon Llull will not refund the amount corresponding to the registration fee for the tests, except for the cases included in sections 8.1 and 9.4 of the resolution of the call for tests.

No change of level or location of the exam will be accepted once the payment or confirmation of the registration request has been made in those locations where the tests are exempt from payment, except for the cases included in section 8.1 and 9.4 in the case of change of location.

COUNTRIES WHERE NO EXAM FEE IS CHARGED
Any location in Africa, Central and South America and the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, India, Iran, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.

The registration process is conducted through the virtual office. 

Interested parties can formalise their registration for the exams by either paying the corresponding registration fee or confirming their registration in the places where the exams are exempt from payment. 

The number of places at each level is limited by the organisational capacity of the call venues. 

The exam may be cancelled if at least 3 people do not register for a level in an exam location. In case of cancellation, the Institut Ramon Llull will inform the affected people so that they can be examined for the same level in another place, provided there are places available, or they may request the return of their exam fees. 

The results are available at the virtual office on the date established in the resolution. People who obtain a passing result will be able to download the corresponding diploma.
