Àngel Burgas (Figueres, 1965) graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. He did a two-year stay in Berlin, a city which had a profound influence on his creative development. When he returned to Barcelona he slowly left behind his plastic side and pursued his interest in writing. He published his first collection of short stories Show while working as an art teacher. In 2013 he won the Crítica Serra d’Or YA novel prize for Noel et busca [Noel is Looking for You].
