After its run at the Museu Tàpies, which hosted the exhibition, Marta Palau. Els meus camins són terrestres (My Paths are Earthly) from February to August 2025, Marta Palau's work returns to her adopted country in an exhibition co-produced by the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo de México (MUAC - UNAM) and the Museu Tàpies, with support from the Institut Ramon Llull.

Catalan dance takes centre stage at the 7th Bienal Internacional de Danza de Cali in Colombia, running from 11 to 17 November. La Veronal, Aurora Bauzà & Pere Jou, Mal Pelo, Àngels Margarit and the artistic collective from the Fira Manresa workshop led by Pere Seda will present their work at one of the most significant international contemporary dance events.

The prestigious venue has programmed a Catalan focus from November 12-16, featuring Jordi Savall, Chicuelo & Mezquida, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and Catalonia National Orchestra, Tarta Relena, Cobla Sant Jordi, the Palau de la Música Catalana Chamber Choir, and Sílvia Pérez Cruz with Salvador Sobral. On November 14 and 15, Catalonia's Minister of Culture will attend several performances and activities in the Catalan focus program in Hamburg.

Under the slogan "This is Catalan Cinema!", more than 30 Catalan productions and a delegation of over 50 professionals will participate in the festival and in the market parallel to the event. Catalonia's Ministry of Culture is spearheading the Catalan focus at the festival, the main gateway to the Nordic and Baltic audiovisual markets. Sònia Hernández, Catalonia's Minister of Culture, has received the Catalan delegation participating in the event.

Carlos Bunga. Inhabit the Contradiction, curated by Rui Mateus, marks the largest exhibition to date of the Portuguese artist who is based in Barcelona. It will be open to the public from 8 November to 30 March 2026, with support from the Institut Ramon Llull through its grant programme to promote visual arts, design, and architecture internationally.

The prestigious German literary magazine die horen. Zeitschrift für Literatur, Kunst und Kritik (Magazine of Literature, Art and Criticism) has just published the monographic issue “Wer sind wir, wer. Neue Stimmen aus Katalonien”, devoted entirely to contemporary Catalan literature. Edited by Oriol Viader and Kirsten Brandt, the volume offers a broad selection of voices and genres that reflect the vitality and diversity of Catalan letters today.

Co-published in Catalan and English by the Institut Ramon Llull and the Institute for the Study of Self-Government of the Government of Catalonia, the collection publishes the key texts of Catalan political and juridical thought.

The Czech festival, one of the world’s most renowned events in digital culture, continues to champion Catalan creators and this year has invited V.P.M. and Playmodes studios, and the artist Josep Poblet. Their participation is supported by the Institut Ramon Llull through its international programme for visual arts, design and architecture. The Signal Festival takes place from 16 to 19 October across various venues in Prague.

From 15 to 19 October, professionals from the sector and major institutions working to promote and project Catalan literature internationally will take part in one of Europe’s most important literary fairs. Coinciding with the fair, the University of Frankfurt will inaugurate the exhibition “The Catalan Lands in Frankfurt: Language and Culture, Literature and Research”, marking the 40th anniversary of the largest Catalan-themed library outside the Catalan-speaking world, with a ...

This year’s residency, its third edition, held from 30 September to 10 October, aims to promote the international publication of Catalan and Balearic authors while encouraging international publishers to commission work Catalan and Balearic professionals.

More than thirty leading international festivals, biennials and institutions are presenting Catalan artists this year with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull. These include the Ars Electronica Festival (Linz, Austria), Les Rencontres de la Photographie (Arles, France), the Istanbul Biennial (Turkey), the Kunstenfestivaldesarts (Brussels, Belgium), the Gulbenkian Modern Art Centre (Lisbon, Portugal), the Jeu de Paume (Paris, France), and Mextrópoli (Mexico City, Mexico), among others.

These are the Graduate Center at the City University of New York; the University of Massachusetts Amherst; Stanford University; the University of Chicago; the University of California, Berkeley; and the University of Havana.

The Institut Ramon Llull is co-organising the event, led by EUNIC, which will take place on 30 September at the IEC. Through a series of sessions, the event will explore how to address global challenges through cultural dialogue.

Between 21 to 26 September, the Institut Ramon Llull is organising a new programme for international publishers in Barcelona. This will be the ninth edition in collaboration with the Catalan Book Week — Setmana del Llibre en Català.

The residency, organised with the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage, in collaboration with the Festival Clàssics, will take place from 12 to 16 October at the Archaeology Museum of Catalonia (MAC) in Empúries. The fruits of the residency may be seen on 16 October at the Paral·lel 62 hall in Barcelona, as part of the Festival Clàssics programme.

From 16 to 19 September, the associations will reflect on their mission, share projects, and examine the principal challenges they face at Faberllull Olot.
