02/06/2026

This meeting of the literary translation network will take place from 3 to 5 June in the city of Lillehammer and will bring together 15 European cultural institutes

From 3 to 5 June, the Institut Ramon Llull will participate in the spring meeting of ENLit (European Network for Literary Translation), which is being held in Lillehammer this year as part of the Norsk Litteraturfestival, Norway's leading literary festival.

Through grant programmes, joint projects and collaboration between members, ENLit seeks to strengthen a dynamic, diverse and accessible European literary ecosystem, promoting the circulation of works and dialogue at international fairs and professional forums.

Around 15 network members will attend the meeting in Lillehammer, including representatives from organisations such as Flanders Literature, the Czech Literary Centre, FILI, the Lithuanian Culture Institute, NORLA, the Polish Book Institute, the Slovenian Book Agency, the Swedish Arts Council, Pro Helvetia and Literature Across Frontiers. The Institut Ramon Llull will be represented by its Director of Literature, Izaskun Arretxe, and Julià Florit, who serves as vice president of the network.

The Institut Ramon Llull is a founding member of ENLit, which was created in 2016 during Frankfurt Book Fair with the aim of promoting literary translation and increasing the international visibility of European literature. The network currently comprises 30 entities and has held its most recent meetings in Barcelona, Vilnius, Thessaloniki and Prague.
