Fiction
Encouraged by the opinions of her friends and family, and keen to clear up a kind of physical blurring hinting at deeper internal inconsistencies, Diana embarks on a journey into her inner world. Why wouldn’t she? Tighten a few loose screws here, fix a handful of faulty gears there, and she can emerge clean, renewed and polished. This will be no easy trip, though. The journey will lead her through wholly unexpected territories and encounters —with bureaucrats, tourists, guards and even an angel! She must evade capture, endure ridicule and walk countless miles to reach her goal. When she realises her psyche is a dreadful, at times hostile place, she must find a way to make it out alive.
Through her crisp, original prose laced with irony and humour, Pujadas contrasts semi-transcendental, semi-therapeutic expectations with a ludicrous and barren reality, making a distinctive contribution to autobiographical fiction.
