Children’s and YA : Middle Grade Fiction
This book gets off to a very imaginative start, reminiscent of Gianni Rodari’s work, with a character thwarted by a streetlight that never turns green, forcing him to take a very long route home. One day he decides that he is going to just wait —for as long as it takes— there on the corner until the streetlight does turn green. He ends up getting drawn into a crime plot involving disappearances, mysteries, detectives and more.
