This is a picture book inspired by the news story that the Danish government rescued various circus animals to give them a better life. With Ali and Ramboline, Valentí Gubianas immortalises and recreates the friendship between an elephant and a dromedary, which get separated. A group of kids see how sad they are and how much they miss each other, so they embark on a mission to reunite the pair. Gubianas combines colours and space to put across the powerful emotions the story stirs up to great effect.
