Open Call: Llull Fellowship: Targeted at International Publishers and Agents

Literatura.  BARCELONA, 20/04/2021

New edition of the virtual Llull Fellowship, a programme devoted to providing the participants with a more in-depth perspective on the Catalan literature as well as to build networks among Catalan and international publishing houses and literary agencies. It will take place from September 13th to 17th 2021, along with the Setmana del Llibre en català, a wonderfully crafted event to celebrate Catalan literature which takes place in the Moll de la Fusta, the pier at open sea in Barcelona.

The Llull Fellowship 2021 will include 30 participants, divided into Fiction, Children and Young Adults, and for the first time we will also offer specific contents for Non-Fiction publishers. The programme offers common activities and specific initiatives related to each focus of interest, including a customised matchmaking (around 20 professional meetings per participant) with suitable Catalan publishers and agents.

The first day, Monday 13th, we will offer virtual meetings with the Llull staff, short capsules on Catalan literature, information about the Catalan literary publishing world and virtual visits to emblematic bookstores and to other outstanding cultural sites in Barcelona. For the following days we plan to organize the matchmaking meetings for Fiction (14th and 15th September) and for Non-Fiction and Children’s and YA Literature (16th and 17th September).

Don’t miss the chance to get a (new) taste on Catalan literature!
