La Veronal performs at Sadler's Wells as part of Dance Umbrella

Marcos Morau, founder and choreographer of La Veronal, is considered one of the most intelligent dance makers to have emerged from Europe in recent years. His style is sophisticated, delightfully illogical and a joy to watch. The Institut Ramon Llull brings Catalan flamenco to the Netherlands

The Dutch Flamenco Biennial, which takes place between 19th January and 3rd February, will host Focus Catalunya, with the collaboration of the Institut Ramon Llull (IRL). The Dutch Biennial, which is now in its fourth edition, is one of the most important flamenco festivals in the world, and the IRL will bring Catalan musicians, singers and dancers to it, affirming the creative output of the genre in Catalonia.
