The IRL has scheduled a panel session under the title Dance and Architecture in Catalonia: Creation, public sphere, cultural legacy and landscape during the 12th edition of the Internationale Tanzmesse in Dusseldorf (Germany). The event will be held on 31st August at 17:30 and will be attended by choreographers Cesc Gelabert and Magí Serra. It will be presented and chaired by academic Ester Vendrell. During the festival, Catalan dancers and dance companies, such as Colectivo Lamajara, Iron Skulls Co, Marcos Morau, Guy Nader and Maria Campos, will also be performing their works.

The Internationale Tanzmesse Dusseldorf (Germany) is an international dance festival held every two years in Germany, bringing together professionals from  European contemporary dance. It consists of a market area, supplemented by the live performances of companies from around the world to present their shows. The companies are selected by the festival’s artistic team, after submitting their applications to the event. At this year's festival, which is being held from 29 August to 1 September the Catalan company Colectivo Lamajara has been chosen to present their work out of over 500 proposals received.

Every year, the ICEC market area sets up a stand to give support to Catalan dance companies who want to attend and feature at the festival. This year, the IRL is also organizing a panel session within the T-Talks festival program, to discuss the festival’s central slogan, which this year will be on the relationship between dance and architecture.

The first part will be presented by Ester Vendrell, who will give an overview of Catalan dance in relation to architecture; during the second part, a debate will be held between herself and the two choreographers. This panel session is presented under the title Dance and Architecture in Catalonia: Creation, public sphere, cultural legacy and landscape, with a discussion on the cultural legacy of Catalan architecture, dance and cultural policies, providing an initial summary of points of convergence between these two artistic forms in recent years in Catalonia.

The festival will also include a list of the following shows with Catalan participation:
