On the 12th December, the renowned Quartet Casals will be giving a concert at the Wigmore Hall of London, United Kingdom. The company evokes the creative originality of Beethoven’s string quartets alongside other more recent creations by the composer and cellist Giovanni Sollima.

Having previously been a hit at The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City, pop-rock band Mishima come back to the UK to present their latest album, 'L'ànsia que cura' with Rock Sin Subtítulos. Don't miss the chance to see this internationally renowed band at Scala on Saturday 25 April.  

Els Amics de les Arts belong to the new wave of Catalan folk-pop. Their songs are short stories made with simple melodies, touches of electronic music, wordplay and lots of irony. The band come to the UK to present their latest album Només d’entrar hi ha sempre el dinosaure in Dublin, Manchester and London from 25 to 28 March.

The ensemble Le Tendre Amour, based in Barcelona, will be in Vilnius to perform the opera “La barca di Venetia per Padova”. The production can be seen on 29 December as part of the Banchetto Musicale Festival, held each year in the capital of Lithuania. Adrián Schvartzein directs the work, and they will be joined by the Brevis Choir & Consort. The Catalan group has performed all around the world and has had enormous success with its whole repertory.

The composer Hèctor Parra will be presenting the first performance, at the 2014 Munich Biennial, of the Baroque opera ‘Das geopferte Leben’ (The sacrificed life) with a libretto by the French writer Marie N’Diaye. The work presents a version of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and will be having its first performance on 20 May, which means that it will be closing the Biennial. The group Che Sudaka present their latest album 1111 Lives at the Cheoyong Culture Festival in South Korea, which this year has a special bill featuring three Catalan groups. The performances will take place on 5th and 6th October.

The sextet Burruezo & Bohemia Camerata present their latest album Misticissimus at the BEC in Bilbao on 5th October during the Feria Biocultura. 

The Pansori Flamenco Project is the result of the collaboration between traditional Korean group Jeong Ga Ak Hoe, guitarist Marta Robles and Flamenco singer Alba Carmona. This collaboration has been included in the Cheoyong Culture Festival in South Korea, which this year has a special bill featuring three Catalan groups. The performance will be on 4th October.

The early music ensemble Nuevo Sarao are presenting the compositions of Joan Araniés, published in Rome in 1624, at the International Festival on the Road to Santiago, on 13th August.

The one-man orchestra project “Señor Marküsen” will be doing six gigs at festivals in France and Germany between 10th and 24th August.

The group Yacine & The Oriental Groove are showcasing their new disc L’estima venç la salvatgia at two festivals in Canada.

The group Che Sudaka are presenting their latest disc 1111 Lives at the Musique du Bout du Monde festival in Gaspé, Canada, on 9th August.

The prestigious Original Jazz Orquestra of the Taller de Músics is backing the saxophonist Jorge Pardo in this jazz and flamenco fusion music project at the Etnosure festival in Alcalá la Real on 19th July. The same group will also be playing at the Heineken Jazzaldia Festival on 25th July.  

The musician and composer Marc Egea is to do a 10-date tour of different venues in central Siberia under the name “Muzenergo Tour”, from 25th June to 18th July.

The electronic music group The Pinkertones, accompanied in this project by the draughtsman Miguel Gallardo, will be doing two gigs, on 17th and 19th July, in New York and Los Angeles.

The ensemble Vespres d’Arnadi is to give a performance of the opera Siroes, King of Persia at the Via Stellae Festival in Compostela on 12th July.
