Institut Ramon LLull

The Institut Ramon Llull is taking the Catalan artist’s circus to the city as part of the Hautes Tensions Festival on 4 and 5 April. He will be presenting his show Pelat, a story of the relation between a man and a piece of wood. 

Since 2011, PSIRC, a trio of circus artistes, have been reinventing the language through an intimate and spectacular mix. Acrometria, the show the company is presenting at Avignon à la Catalane, is a disturbing but hopeful encounter. This week the Institut Ramon Llull is taking part in a workshop to be held at the circus venue La Tohu in Montreal during the Montréal Completement Cirque Festival.

Theatre, dance, acrobatics are fused in the performance from Catalan circus artists Marta Terrents and Pau Portabella. Their company Fet a Mà uses circus as a way of describing and sharing intense emotional worlds. They will perform from Monday 20 to Wednesday 22 January at Southbank Centre as part of the LIMF programme.
