Institut Ramon LLull

Catalan Circus on Tour at Subcase 2013 (Stockholm)

Performing.  Estocolm,  20/02/2013

The Institut Ramon Llull, in conjunction with FiraTàrrega, has arranged the presence of three Catalan companies at Subcase 2013, the circus festival organized by Subtopia, the Swedish creative centre, and the New Nordic Circus Network

This year Subcase has programmed “Catalan Circus on Tour” as part of the collaboration agreement between Subtopia and FiraTàrrega together with the Institut Ramon Llull. This is a unique opportunity to open doors to Catalan companies in Scandinavia. Subcase is a market that is aimed exclusively at professionals, and in 2012 was visited by 120 international programmers, mainly from Nordic countries.

Los Galindos (with their show Maiurta), the Eia Circus Company (with their show Capas,) and Projecte Otradnoie (with their work in progress Otradnoie 1) are the three companies that will take part in the 2013 edition of Subcase, which will take place from 13th to 15th February in Norsborg, Sweden.

Scandinavia and Catalonia are generating joint artistic creation projects, and exchanging residences, knowledge, experiences and ideas. Subtopia, the Institut Ramon Llull and FiraTàrrega want to foster this mutual attraction between the two cultures, creating links for a fluid and enriching dialogue, and a space for cultural growth that could generate a lot of opportunities in the market.

Subcase is a Nordic market and presents projects from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
