Jordi Puntí (Manlleu, 1967) is a writer, translator, and regular Spanish and Catalan press contributor. He earned a degree in Romance Philology. His career as an author began with the publication of two short story collections: Armadillo Skin (1988, winner of the Serra d’Or Critics Award), and Sad Animals (2002). He also translated the works of famous authors like Paul Auster, Daniel Pennac, and Amélie Nothomb. His novel Lost Luggage received several awards and has been translated into sixteen languages. In 2014, he received a scholarship from the Cullman Center, enabling him to spend a year completing research at the New York Public Library in preparation for his novel Confetti.
