Gemma Lienas

Gemma Lienas (Barcelona, 1951) is a Catalan author, feminist and lecturer. She spent 15 years as executive editor in various publishing houses. Prior to that, she was also a teacher of language and literature, for 12 years. She has published nearly 100 books for adults, young readers and children, which have earned her praise from critics but above all from the reading public. She has been awarded several national prizes including the Ramon Llull and an international Honorable Mention from IBBY. Her works have been translated into ten languages.
