Aquafit bears witness to the unheard voices. Those of a group of women who meet every day in a unique space of emancipation: the changing room of the municipal swimming pool in the Barcelona district of Gràcia. The album, a product of fieldwork conducted between September 2018 and March 2020, portrays the experience of old age and the complexities it entails while reflecting on the u unique contributions older individuals can offer in today’s social landscape. Old, young, mothers, daughters, wives, widows, singles, lesbians, repressed, liberated, slaves: the women of an era, the voices that tell the story of a disappearing generation.
