Jan, a small town boy, arrives in the big city of Gentripolis with the idea of making his dream come true: he wants to become a superhero. However, even after getting into the Finishing School of Incredible Acts, he can’t quite find a superpower as striking as those of his classmates. Thanks to his neighbour Josefina and the adventures he finds himself in, he realises that empathy, listening and tenderness can also be extraordinarily powerful. With a homemade cape, Superbeat is born: a hero who will show that emotions and kindness are the most revolutionary superpowers. This story changes the paradigm of the genre and offers a great way of approaching new ideals and role models without leaving traditional ones behind.
