Irene Pujadas (Sant Just Desvern, 1990) has worked for various media outlets and magazines and has contributed to several anthologies. In 2017, she co-founded BRANCA, a hip literary and multidisciplinary magazine, and she currently works at Angle Editorial. In 2020, she won the Documenta Prize for Els desperfectes (L’Altra Editorial, 2021), a collection of short stories that also received the City of Barcelona Award and was highly praised by readers and critics alike. The opening story, which lends the book its title, was translated into English and published in The New Yorker in 2024 under the title ‘Damages’.
