Marcel Cranc is the name adopted by Miquel Vicensastre for his pop and Catalan song career. This Majorcan singer-songwriter produces music that is intense, delightful and defiant, poetic and daring. His is luminous music, tinged with melancholy and nostalgia for his island home. His clearest influences range from Léo Ferré to Radiohead, but his personal style defies all comparison. To date, Cranc has released four albums: Animal fràgil (2006); Ara (2008); Imagina (2010); and his latest recording, U (Music Bus, 2012). U is like a science fiction film in which each song corresponds to a different story.
