Caterina Riba
She was born in Barcelona in 1977. She is a professor at the University of Vic and a translator. She is the author of Maria-Mercè Marçal. L’escriptura permeable (2014), Cos endins. Maternitat, desig i malaltia a l'obra de Maria-Mercè Marçal (2015), co-author of Dins el tinter. Correspondència femenina a Catalunya (1750-1900) (2018) and co-editor of Cicatrius (in)visibles. Perspectives feministes sobre el càncer de mama (2016). She has recovered, with Ester Pou, the narrative work of Anna Dodas, published under the title Capvespres de foc i de grana (2018) and is the curator, together with Rosa Ardid, of the anthology Tres poetes de Cadaqués (2019). She has also published A un revolt de la sendera (2021), a book of interviews with female contemporary Catalan poets, edited with Jaume Coll Mariné.
From Catalan to Spanish she has translated together with Max Hidalgo Soy como el trueno (2017) by Anna Dodas, Kalashnikov (2020) by Maria Sevilla in collaboration with the author and, together with Mireia Vidal-Conte, Qué nombre (2021), a selection of poems by Felícia Fuster. She has also co-translated poems by Audre Lorde from English to Catalan with Maruxa Relaño, published in Reduccions, and poems by Maria-Mercè Marçal from Catalan to English with Kathryn Hunt, published in Poetry East. In 2021 the book Els diaris del càncer by Audre Lorde was published, which she translated from English into Catalan.
