This call forms part of a new line of in-kind and non-competitive grants for taking part in international residencies at centres with which the Institut Ramon Llull has a collaboration agreement. Thanks to these agreements, artists and authors from the Catalan artistic and cultural sphere will be able to participate in strategic residencies across all disciplines. The in-kind grant covers accommodation, board, and the organisation of the residency. This is the second residency announced, following the call for Château de Lavigny, and further announcements will follow for other centres with which the IRL collaborates.
Applications must be submitted via a form available on the Casamia website, where applicants must provide the following:
- A brief letter of motivation, in English or Italian.
- A short curriculum vitae, in English or Italian.
- The work plan, in English or Italian.
- The technical rider.
- Links where their work can be heard.
A jury comprising representatives from Casamia will select the residents based on the following criteria:
- The relevance of the project to the host institution’s lines of activity. Consideration will be given to how the project aligns with the residency centre’s creative priorities, linguistic fluency, ability to integrate with other residents, willingness to exchange and interact with fellow residents and guests, and readiness to participate in post-residency activities.
- The relevance, interest, and quality of the proposed project. Evaluation will consider the strength and feasibility of the project, and the quality of the composition.
- The applicant’s track record or experience. Consideration will be given to previous publications and any accolades received.
Full details of the call are available on the Casamia website.
