Núria Parera Ciuró (Barcelona, 1972) holds a degree in Information Sciences and studied writing the Sala Beckett in Barcelona. She is a journalist, a scriptwriting, and a teacher. She has been part of the screenwriting team for many hit television shows, including Ventdelplà, Infidels, La Riera and Les de l’hoquei. She has written plays and stories for young readers, such as the collection Les aventures de la gata Marga (Alrevés) and the picture book El meu avi i jo (Juventud). Her middle grade novel La maleta (with illustrations by Maria Hergueta) was awarded with the prestigious Serra d’Or Award as well as included in the IBBY List of Honour 2020.
