A girl and her mother arrive in a new town, looking for a fresh start. The very same day, a young demon gets lost, and will now have to wait until next year before his thousand-strong tribe returns to look for him.

This is a tale of two stories: a young girl adapting to her new surroundings, and the little demon she has to share them with. They watch the seasons go by together, awaiting the coming winter, when the group of demons is set to arrive – and with them, the time to say goodbye. In the meantime, these two adorable characters are poised to find friendship while looking for their place in the world.
