Gemma Ruiz (Sabadell, 1975) is a Catalan journalist and a writer. She has worked on the news desk at Televisió de Catalunya since 1996, specialising in cultural affairs.
Her debut novel, Argelagues (Proa, 2016) became a literary phenomenon with twelve reprints so far and excellent critical reception. Her second novel, Ca la Wenling, will be simoultanously published in Catalan (Proa, 2020) and Spanish (Destino, 2020).
