Catalan artist Luis Garcia has been selected to participate at the Third Edition of the International Contemporary Art Fair in London along with Maka Fidyka, artist based in Barcelona selected to exhibit there for the second time. Parallax AF is the first art fair of its kind to use new theories from art history in its approach. It showcases established and emerging international contemporary artists from West & East Europe, USA, Asia, South America, Turkey, UAE and Oceania.
Yorkshire Sculpture Park will stage the first major UK survey of sculpture by Joan Miró (1893-1983) in collaboration with the artist’s foundations and family. With key works set against the backdrop of the Yorkshire landscape, the exhibition will fulfil the artist’s belief that “sculpture must stand in the open air, in the middle of nature”, as well as providing a rare opportunity to experience the repertoire of this iconic Catalan artist, demonstrating his continued relevance to sculpture. The exhibition is sponsored by Christie’s, supported by the Institut Ramon Llull and The Henry Moore Foundation, with additional support from Camper.
Artist Hannah Collins discusses the crossover between the visual and culinary arts with pioneering Catalan chef Ferran Adrià from the world famous elBulli restaurant. This event, supported by the Institut Ramon Llull, launches the publication The Fragile Feast: Routes to Ferran Adrià by Hannah Collins.

This January, over 180 music industry delegates from around the world will visit Glasgow on the middle weekend of Celtic Connections (25th - 29th January) to sample of some of Scotland's and Catalan's finest musical talent. Showcase Scotland works with an international partner each year and is delighted to share the stage with Catalonia in 2012. Showcase Scotland is working with Catalan Arts, the Institut Ramon Llull and the Government of Catalonia to stage Spotlight Catalonia.

The LVII Anglo-Catalan Society Conference will be held at Queen Mary, University of London from the 25th to 27th November 2011. The programme cover a wide diversity of topics (linguistic, historical, literary, sociological, musical, etc.) whose common denominator is the Catalan dimension, including Valencia, the Balearics and French Catalonia.
