On 27 April 1975, Maria del Mar Bonet gave one of the most iconic concerts of her career at the legendary L’Olympia in Paris. Fifty years on, this unmistakable voice of Catalan song and leading international figure in Mediterranean music returns to the same stage to commemorate that historic moment. On Sunday 11 October, she will reconnect with her Parisian audience and all those wishing to share in this milestone, which has left a lasting mark on the musical memory of several generations.
The concert Maria del Mar Bonet a L’Olympia. 50 anys després will revisit some of the artist’s signature songs, including Cançó per una bona mort, Nina, ninona de bressol, Abril, Aigo, Me n’aniré de casa, Sonet, Tonada de collir olives and Què volen aquesta gent? The singer will be accompanied by a remarkable new ensemble of Mallorcan musicians led by lutenist Toni Pastor, with Marc Grasas on guitar, Marko Lohikari on double bass, José Llorach on percussion and Benjamí Salom on violin.
