The festival Les Suds à Arles will feature, in its thirtieth edition, some of the most acclaimed voices on the current Catalan music scene. In line with recent years—when prominent figures such as Miguel Poveda, Ojos de Brujo, Asikides, Tal Ben Ari, Che Sudaka, Raül Refree, and Sílvia Pérez Cruz have performed—the festival this year offers an ambitious and inclusive programme.
On the 14th of July, Tarta Relena will perform at the Museon Arlaten in a free concert beginning at 7.30 p.m.
On Tuesday the 15th of July, it will be the turn of Dhikra, a collaboration between Walid Ben Selim and Raül Refree, who will perform at 7.30 p.m. in the Cour de l'Archevêché (Archbishop’s Courtyard).
On Thursday the 17th of July at midnight, the percussion duo Dame Area will take to the stage at the Cour de l'Archevêché (Archbishop’s Courtyard).
On the evening of Saturday the 19th of July, Za! + Perrate will enliven the same venue, the Archbishop’s Courtyard.
Over the past 30 years, the Les Suds à Arles festival has established itself as one of the essential musical events of the summer. Rooted in a spirit of transmission, creation, and dissemination, the festival highlights artists who reinvent their traditions, explore new languages, and push the boundaries of musical aesthetics. Within this dynamic, the Catalan scene holds an central place, both for its artistic richness and its affinity with the festival’s ethos, maintaining always a strong presence.
