Cinema.  GERMANY, 03/05/2021

The 67th edition of the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen starts in May 1st and will take place until May 10th 2021. The Catalan musician Joan Bagés will participate in this year’s edition with the piece ABIKOU, selected for participation at the international MuVi award. The short film ABIKOU is directed by the French visual artist Alexandra Bouge and includes Joan Bagés music.

Oberhausen is the oldest short film festival in the world. Many acclaimed filmmakers and artists such as Roman Polanski, Cate Shortland, George Lucas and Eija-Liisa Ahtila have taken part in it. For years, the festival has also enjoyed an excellent reputation in the art scene. In 2020, due to the pandemic, the festival was conducted completely online for the first time. With over 2.500 passes sold and users in almost 100 countries, the new format proved to be a surprising success. This year’s edition will be online too.
