The International Mission of Publishers and Agents ('Making Catalan Literature Travel for International Publishers and Agents') is one of the fundamental events in the internationalization of Catalan literature carried out by Institut Ramon Llull. This year, it reaches its eighteenth edition in a difficult and complex context - the global health crisis caused by Covid'19 - and will be held virtually, rethought from top to bottom to remain useful in its goal of dissemination of our literature.
The Mission has always ensured that guest editors and agents make a total immersion in literature and illustration in the Catalan language (with a program that includes talks on the publishing sector and an overview of the literary tradition), in addition to seeking to build bridges and establish contacts based on physical encounters with Catalan publishers and literary agents.
In 2020, the Institut Ramon Llull has worked hard to adapt this project to virtuality. With the aim of strengthening the connection point of the event, this year agents and publishers who have already attended the Mission in previous editions and who know the work of the institution and literature in the Catalan language have been invited.
