With the goal of showing quality cinema for free throughout the year, in 2019 Cinema Lliure is holding two film series: In the summer, the eighth edition of Cinema Lliure a la Platja (Free Cinema at the Beach), showing films on several Mediterranean beaches at no charge; and, the rest of the year, Cinema Lliure a la Biblioteca, from 27 February to 19 April, showing documentaries for free at libraries in the Pyrenees–Mediterranean Euroregion (made up of Catalonia, Balearic Islands and Occitanie). Cinema Lliure a la Biblioteca kicked off two years ago, creating a network of libraries in Barcelona.
Cinema Lliure a la Biblioteca, with support from the Pyrenees–Mediterranean Euroregion and Institut Ramon Llull, is an original idea and organised by MagoProduction, in conjunction with APAIB (Associació de Productors Audiovisuals de les Illes Balears) and Godo Films.
