Sonia Alins is an illustrator and artist who creates works of art (often three-dimensional) with a surrealistic poetic narrative, through which she expresses her feelings, desires, dreams, and nightmares. Alins makes extensive use of the human figure (mostly female), while at the same time she explores the expressive nature of elements such as transparency and a lack of definition.
The news of this new international acknowledgement for the works of the illustrator Sonia Alins comes several months after her selection in the 2018 World Illustration Awards, thanks to which her work The Swimmers is on tour in different cities in the United Kingdom. On top of this there are the many awards and mentions obtained in the course of 2017, with two gold medals at the 2017 Salon des Beaux Arts in Paris, second prize at the 2017 East-West Art Award, bronze in the 2017 Design Award, and her selection at the Illustration West 56 (Los Angeles), the New York Society of Illustrators 60 Annual, Selected Winner at the 6th Latin American Illustration, and Merit Winner at the 3x3 International Illustration Show No. 14.
