Two Catalan artists begin a residency at Oudeis, a digital and electronic arts “laboratory” in France

Music.  France, 18/11/2017

Lloret Salvatge, from Girona, and Shoeg, from Tortosa, are doing a residency at Oudeis from 18th to 24th November as part of the 'En chantier' programme. It is a digital and electronic arts laboratory in the French region of Occitania. Oudeis collaborates with the Eufònic festival and is supported by the Institut Ramon Llull.

En chantier includes exhibitions, concerts, actions, working processes and artistic residencies. It is a proposal that intends to rethink and re-question the practices and routines of creation and the effects of language. The programme collaborates with the Eufònic festival and receives the support of the IRL, thanks to which two Catalan artists are doing an artistic residency there.

Lloret Salvatge and Shoeg are the two artists chosen to stay there from 18th to 24th November. The result of their explorations can be seen in a sound performance on Friday, 24th November at the Théâtre Albarède in Ganges.

Lloret Salvatge, from Girona, has released La Roqueta, a folk and electronic EP, and Humitats, a disc with 30 instrumental micro-compositions, both on the Famèlic label.

Shoeg’s latest work is Vaseline (2017), in which New Age echoes rub shoulders with epically extreme organ sounds to tackle concepts like information overload and distance. This latest album concludes the trilogy begun with Panorama (2014) and Tanz (2015).
