Archit. & design.  Shenzhen, 04/12/2015

The Miralles Tagliabue EMBT architecture studio, of Enric Miralles (1955-2000) and Benedetta Tagliabue, together with the Enric Miralles Foundation, is taking part in the Urbanism/Architecture Bi-city Biennale in the Chinese city of Shenzhen with the Catalonia Pavilion, which can be visited from 4th December 2015 to 4th March 2016.

The Urbanism/Architecture Bi-city Biennale (UABB) is the only biennial exhibition in the world based exclusively on the subject of urban planning and development. It is organized jointly by Shenzhen and Hong Kong, two leading cities in the field of urbanism.

The EMBT studio works together with the Enric Miralles Foundation. The foundation is a centre of experimentation, a research platform collaborating on an international level with the academic world, and it also acts as the studio’s own research centre.

In this context, the project CLICHY – MONTFERMEIL METRO STATION is presented, an ambitious project in Paris that aims to improve the existing transport network and significantly regenerate the inner-city neighbourhoods, with the participation of the students who are currently doing their master’s degree at the foundation in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).

The Catalonia pavilion can be visited from 4th December to 4th March 2016
