Coinciding with the start of the Business of Design Week 2015 in Hong Kong, where Barcelona is the first guest city, on 27th November the Hong Kong Design Institute is inaugurating the exhibition Urban Regeneration – Past, Present and Future. The exhibition, by the architecture studio of Benedetta Tagliabue and the late Catalan architect Enric Miralles, displays several large-scale projects that have represented an innovation in the field of urban regeneration.

The exhibition brings together a selection of large-scale international projects that present innovative ideas in relation to urban regeneration, with models, drawings, sketches and prototypes. The highlights of the selection, chosen by the Miralles and Tagliabue architecture studio EMBT, are the renovation of the Santa Caterina market in Barcelona, the Copagri pavilion “Love IT” for Expo Milan 2015 and the Spanish Pavilion of Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China.

The inauguration is part of and coincides with the start of Business of Design Week (BODW) 2015 in Hong Kong, an international event in the design and innovation sector that every year attracts over 100,000 participants, more than 70 international speakers and 200 representatives of the media.

Urban Regeneration – Past, Present and Future can be seen from 27th November 2015 to 26th February 2016
