The Burruezo & Bohemia Camerata quartet, which brings medieval music up to date with a contemporary sound, is to showcase its disc “Misticissimus” at the Valladolid Ateneo on 13th June. They give us a musical performance with a flavour of Al-Andalus, Jewish Catalonia and distant troubadours. It is roots music, but from an absolutely new point of view. They sing in Catalan, classical Arabic, Latin, modern and old Italian and Spanish, with verses inspired by mystical poets from the medieval world.
