Seven French journalists from leading publications visit Barcelona to interview authors invited to the Paris Book Fair (22nd-25th March).
As part of the programme “Barcelone, ville des prodiges”, in which Barcelona is the guest city at the Paris International Book Fair, seven journalists working for the leading French publications came to Barcelona from 29th January to 1st February to interview various authors included in the fair’s programme.
This activity, organized by the Institut Français in Paris in collaboration with the Institut Ramon Llull (IRL), aims at giving invited authors visibility in the run-up to the Paris Fair in March, and can be considered the project’s launch.
Apart from the interviews, there was a literary walk organized along the Rambles in Barcelona by the journalist Sergi Dòria, an introduction to Catalan literature by the poet Carles Torner, and a talk on Barcelona’s leading role in the publishing sector by the Journalist Sergio Vila-Sanjuan.
The participating French journalists were Nelly Kapriélian (LES INROCKUPTIBLES), Jennifer Lesieur (METRO), Delphine Peras (L’EXPRESS), Bruno Corty (LE FIGARO LITTÉRAIRE), Philippe Delaroche (LIRE), Florence Noiville (LE MONDE DES LIVRES) and Mylène Moulin (LIVRES HEBDO).
The following authors were interviewed: Berta Marsé, Javier Calvo, Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Sergi Pàmies, Miguel Gallardo, Imma Monsó, Jordi Puntí, Carme Riera, Sebastià Alzamora, Marc Pastor, Eduardo Mendoza (by videoconference), Mercè Ibarz and Miquel de Palol.
These include prestigious publications such as LES INROCKUPTIBLES, LE FIGARO LITTÉRAIRE, LIRE, LE MONDE DES LIVRES and LIVRES HEBDO.
