Taking place in Brighton over 3 days in May, The Great Escape kicks starts the festival season, introducing 15,000 music lovers to the key artists and sounds of the year. With over 300 bands playing in 30 venues over 3 days, The Great Escape is the key date in the music calendar. In addition to pre-publicised performances, impromptu street gigs spring up all over town.

Festival Iberoamericano de Cultura Musical Vive Latino // Mexico DF (Mexico)
23-25 MarchIn 1998, OCESA, a leading entertainment in Latin America, had the idea of bringing together several groups of rock in Spanish that by themselves do not have enough notice, but together they could form an attractive poster. That planning effort and later crystallized in the first Ibero-American Musical Culture Festival Vive Latino, held in November 1998. Throughout the weekend, 27 Spanish rock bands began to write the beginning of this story: Hell's Angels, Illia Kuryaki, La Barranca, Kenny and Electric, Juan Perro and Aterciopelados, amongst others, were able to artistically that first edition was a success: those involved in the world of rock in Spanish are convinced that this party should continue and be organized annually.
