One more year, the Casal Català d’Irlanda will celebrate Saint George’s Day on Sunday 22nd April, an event where roses and books will be present.

Take a book and you can take another. If you do not have one, you can buy it there. You can find them from €1 upwards. Of course, the roses will not be missing, and they will also explain the legend while drinking coffee or tea and eating some cookies, between books and Catalan everywhere!

This year, the Casal Català d’Irlanda, with the aim to promote the writing in Catalan for children and adults, organizes the 1st Sant Jordi literary contest.

Moreover, in the afternoon there will be different readings of Catalan poems and Irish traditional legends and poems as well. Definitely, an event full of tradition, love, culture and literature!
