Joan Antoni Martín Piñol

Martín Piñol (Barcelona, 1979) is a pacesetter in Catalan literature for children and young adults, with twenty-five published books. Sentinels is the winner of the 2016 Joaquim Ruyra Prize. It follows Pizzaboy, which was awarded the 2015 Ramon Muntaner Prize and his children’s series La cocina de los monstruos, which, with its mix of humour, cooking and zombies, has earned him international success.
