Alba Dalmau
Cinta Vidal
Alba Dalmau, an established novelist, and artist Cinta Vidal, internationally recognized for her pictorial work and murals, join forces in this picture book targeted to a broad audience that is a reflection on the conventional way we look at things and an invitation to change our point of view.
The world is literally upside down and the main character’s cat is missing. In her search for it the brief text serves as a path through which to discover and admire the surprising details of the illustrations in which Cinta Vidal decontextualizes buildings, furniture and people and has them floating in the air, playing on perspective, geometry, and weightlessness, with drawings that call to mind M.C. Escher’s impossible figures.
