Paula Ferrer (Alcúdia de Crespins, 1979), holds an undergraduate degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat de València and a doctorate from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics and currently works as a gynecologist specialized in Fertility Treatment at the CREA clinic in Valencia. She has been writing stories and other pieces since childhood and her short works have received numerous prizes. To date she has written two novels, both targeted at young audiences: Joana Cordons i la colla Perduda was awarded the Ernest Lluch Prize for children’s literature, and with El país de Cral won one of the most prestigious prizes in Catalan literature for young readers.
