As part of its continuous training programme, every year the Institut Ramon Llull organises the International Conference for Teachers of Catalan. This conference is intended for the language teachers of XarxaLlull, the university network for Catalan studies abroad, which gathers ca. 130 universities from all over the world where Catalan Language and culture are taught.
The conference, which brings together around a hundred teachers each year, is a space devoted to fostering teaching skills and strategies for learning Catalan as a foreign language and the culture it conveys. It is also an occasion to share experiences and good practices, to debate and reflect on the challenges posed by teaching and learning, and to nourish our energies in order to successfully face a new academic year.
Above all, the International Conference for Teachers of Catalan is the time of the year when the true dimension of XarxaLlull becomes aparent, thanks to the talent and potential of its members.
They will take place from July 16 to 19 this year, at the Universitat Jaume I de Castelló.
