Language.  Lille, 27/03/2015

Entitled “Pedagogical innovations for language learning”, the Institut Ramon Llull is once again organizing a course for teachers, on this occasion for the first time in France and in collaboration with Lille University 3 – Charles de Gaulle. The course will take place on 27th March and is addressed to teachers who are part of the University Network of Catalan Studies Abroad, coordinated by the Institut Ramon Llull. The activity is part of the Institution’s continuous training programme. Courses have already been held in other countries, such as the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy.

The study session will be split into two parts. In the morning, methodologies for language learning will be spoken about and experiences will be shared. The afternoon will be devoted to digital teaching resources. The course will end with a round table about the role of the associations and institutions when promoting language teaching and learning. Among others, representatives of the Institut Ramon Llull and the Association Française de catalanistes will be in attendance. All in all, there will be 24 teachers taking part from French universities and one teacher from Amsterdam University.

The Institut Ramon Llull takes charge of the continuous training of teachers in the Network by organizing courses, seminars and symposia on methodology, strategies and teaching resources for the teaching and learning of Catalan as a foreign language. It does so in collaboration with universities and institutions from both the Catalan-speaking territories and abroad. Recently, teaching seminars have been organized in Budapest, Madrid, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Naples and Venice, as well as the five editions of the introductory course at Vinaròs and Morella.
