Teatre Nu adapts Pere Calders’ story ‘Raspall’ in Toulouse

The Catalan company Teatre Nu presents the show ‘Raspall’ (Brush) in French, based on the story of the same name by Pere Calders, one of the leading figures of 20th century Catalan literature. The first performance will be on 16 December at 10.00 in Toulouse. The show is aimed at a young audience and is part of the programme “1,2, 3 en scène, saison jeune public”. The performance by Teatre Nu has the support of the Institut Ramon Llull, which is committed to presenting Catalan artists and performers abroad.

 




‘Raspall’, translated into French as ‘Chien Brosse’, is a show by Teatre Nu based on the story of the same name by Pere Calders. One day a boy named Sala loses his best friend, the dog Turc. To get over the loss, he will have to give his imagination free rein until he finds a brush abandoned in an attic which he immediately identifies as a dog.
