Xirriquiteula Teatre tour across Germany with a performance for young people

Performing.  Germany, 26/10/2014

Catalan company Xirriquiteula Teatre starts a German tour that will last until 30 October. “Papirus” is addressed to a child and day-dreamer audience. The show has already been performed in Denmark, Holland, Syria, Lebanon, France, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Israel, Colombia and Cape Verde, and has received several awards at theatre festivals. The tour is supported by the Institut Ramon Llull.

“Papirus” explains the chance encounter between two run-away strangers that shows, both with humour and tenderness, that out of the smallest things can develop great stories. The two protagonists learn together how to laugh, cry and trust each other. But they do it by the mime, the gesture and a creative work around the paper. With these ingredients, “Papirus” talks about friendship, war, fears, feelings and hope.

- 26 October: Forum de Leverkusen

- 28 October: Velbert Theatre

“Papirus” shows scheduled until 30 October
