The Institut Ramon Llull brings six companies based in Catalonia to Au Bonheur des Mômes, the most important international festival for children in Europe. The artists will act from 24 to 29 August in Le Grand-Bornand, a town in the Haute-Savoie in France, which has a long street performance tradition. Chapertons, Efimer, Leandre, La Tal, Mimaia and TXO Titelles will be joining a programme with more than 300 shows.

The Au Bonheur des Mômes programme includes the participation of 86 companies, 352 shows and 40 workshops besides exhibitions, amusement parks and other surprises from around the world. Among these artists, there are six companies from Catalonia: Chapertons, Efimer, Leandre, La Tal, Mimaia and TXO Titelles.

The Catalan group Efimer will perform a total of 21 free shows of “Traps”, for all publics and with the help of three big dragons. Moreover, Chapertons, a theatre company from El Masnou, will be presenting its show named “Tour de roues” on Monday 25 August. The funny artists will take the public (age 4 or older) to a tour by land and sea.

Mimaia and TXO Titelles companies will also offer their show to the children attending the festival. “Adiós Bienvenida”, by the former, will be performed on Tuesday 26 and it is a reflection on life and the need of ending certain things to start new ones. Otherwise, “Evaristo&cia”, by the puppets company, will perform a total of five magic shows.

“The incredible box” is a show by La Tal, an international theatre company born in 1986 that seeks a new theatre conception and the creation of their own universe. Lastly, on the last day of the festival, on Friday 29 August, the clowns from Leandre will add a touch of poetical and wordless humour in a stage that represents a house without walls.
