The love story in '10,000 KM (Long Distance)' can be seen at US cinemas in October

10,000 KM by the Catalan director Carlos Marques-Marcet will be shown at 15 cinemas in several US cities from October. The film, which has received good reviews from acknowledged US magazines, will build on the success obtained at numerous festivals around the world. It stars David Verdaguer and Natalia Tena.




New York, Los Angeles and Chicago are among the 15 cities where 10,000 KM will be shown. The film tells the long-distance love story of its two protagonists, Alexandra (Natalia Tena) –who is leaving for Los Angeles– and Sergi (David Verdaguer) –who stays in Barcelona. The plot has won praise from critics around the world and the brilliant performance of the two actors has earned them recognition at cinema festivals such as the SXSW in Austin, the event where a US distributor, Broad Green Pictures, decided to buy the film and will invest one million dollars in promotion in the United States.

The Catalan film was also well received at the recent Malaga Film Festival, where it won five awards, including the Golden Biznaga for Best Film. 10.000KM  was also shown recently at the Melbourne International Film Festival. Carlos Marques-Marcet’s debut is a Lastor Media production in co-production with La Panda. The screenplay is also by the director and Clara Roquet.
